I looked back and im wrong it was 2021 4 years ago.I signed up for scanning topic 7 years ago, not ham. You are the one trolling and trying to create drama.
I don't care how long you have been a HAM. I have seen your latest replies in this forum, they are full of spite.I looked back and im wrong it was 2021 4 years ago.
Spending $4,000 for a radio you cant legally use - That was drama.
Been a HAM for 45+ years - Its bragging rights and before that a drum banging CBer KQX-9282 since the 1970s.
Im not a troll nor a Drama Queen.
You started the License rant back in 2021.
How do you come across on this forum - Look at your posting and ask do I really need a Ham Radio License ?
I know your Fuming now Thinking of some witty come back.
The forum is all yours now !
Im QRT!

"ham radio"
Or preferably don't as it is is a derogatory term.
Someone is helping you with your HF base station and doesn't know it can't transmit on 2m.So what is going on here?
I think most amateur radio operators try to follow the rules, but some don't.Are HAM operators not taking those rules serious (anymore)?
Depends on where you are.Is 2 meter some band of a wasteland?

Yet another reply that is off topic and only derails the thread. "is is" is indeed a derogatory for a "Chief of Grammar Police". You are also invited to stay out.
You are right, but you did not spend $4000 😁Nothing wrong with that, my uncle bough a complete Collins S line, Tower, Beam, then a couple months got his novice.
I had a few receivers and built a Heathkit transmitter, ready to go on the air before I applied for my ticket.
So far, in the previous two threads of yours we've learned:I don't care how long you have been a HAM. I have seen your latest replies in this forum, they are full of spite.
It's none of your business what I spend my money on.
Derailing a thread with a false claim IS causing drama. Look how many jumped on that bandwagon!
Where did I ever ask or say "do I really need a Ham Radio License"? You are implying again a false narrative. I made it VERY clear in my OP that I will never send without license, yet here you are again making false claims for others to pick up on!
Do me a favor and stay far away from my threads and posts. I have zero respect for anything that comes from your keyboard at this point.
I'm not here to influence people unlike some folks around here - that is indeed the issue at hand.Wow, you certainly seem to have a chip on your shoulder. It speaks volumes that you would silence those who might disagree with you. I wonder where we have seen that sort of behaviour before? I can recommend a very good (American) book, called "How to win friends and influence people.".
Yet another derailing post that has NOTHING to do with my questions. So far, in the previous two threads of yours we've learned:
How wealthy you are ($4k Kenwood) and how reduced the value will be when you're ready to flip it on Sleaze-Bay.
That you'd rather create drama with questions about the greater amateur community's ethics rather than valid questions about the ins/outs of the hobby.
If you have legitimate questions, ask them, the knowledgeable and experienced amateurs here are always willing to help. If you have helpful info to share with others then please do.

Are you going to enforce your own rules?Someone is helping you with your HF base station and doesn't know it can't transmit on 2m.
