Is Hamilton County, Florida now using NXDN conventional for their public safety communications? I assume the same goes for the town of Jasper?

I recently passed through there a few times, but just noticed that my scanner was mis-programmed which is why I heard nothing at all. The wiki lists fire and EMS stations, but nothing about radios while the database still has their old analog assignments. The last I heard of them a while back they were still on good old analog FM.

Thanks.

It could have been Suwannee County / Live Oak, depending on which way you were passing by. They are on NXDN for Fire and EMS services.

I wish I had kept notes because now I'm blanking on whether it was Suwannee or Hamilton County, but they were running a couple concurrent calls and were very chatty on NXDN. I made a mental note that I was getting farther away from their jurisdiction, yet the radio signals were still strong going south on US19.

Next time I'm through there I'll pay closer attention. I'm pretty sure the DB is wrong, though.

Hamilton is VHF analog for now as noted but joining SLERS in the near future.

No, I live in Jasper and they are still on analog. That will more than likely change in the near future with the new Sheriff.
Do you maybe know a KE4CQX that lives up that way .
Last time I talk to him he uses the Lake Park Repeater

This is more than likely correct. Hamilton County has poor SLERS coverage for portables and mobile coverage in the Northern part part of the county around Jennings can be a hit or miss on mobiles. The county and the state will have to add a tower or two inside the county to improve coverage similar to what Lafayette and Taylor Counties have done.

from my friend in Jennings, Fla., Hamilton County sheriff and fire rescue are still on VHF and UHF FM analog. However, Live Oak/ Lake City, and I think Madison, have gone digital and or encrypted.

I know Lake City is P 25 Trunked ENC.

Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, Jasper Police, and Jennings Police are now on SLERS with the new Harris L3 XL Series LTE Radios. It's unknown if they are using only SLERS or SLERS with LTE backup.
