I have been told by someone that works for the county that there is no encryption or PL being added that would stop people from listening to the DMR system when it becomes active.

I have asked him when they might be changing and waiting a response. The city and the county are switching from my understanding.
If you have a newer Uniden scanner you do need to pay the $60 fee to unlock DMR.

yeah I have a newer scanner and I had already purchased the DMR upgrade for it when I lived in NH.
Just curious if there has been any activity on the new radio system lately.
