Hi it seems like 154.310 is down again dose anyone know why.

All, 154.310 is no longer broadcasting. There are no plans to continue the 154.310 broadcast. The equipment supplying Broadcastify has been programmed in preparation for the migration to the City of Hartford P25 system. There will be no interruptions in service with the Broadcastify feed.

For those purchasing a digital scanner, Hartford Fire will be operating P25 Phase 2 and Phase 1 trunking.

No idea, it has been offline since 12/17 or so, I can receive the 800MHz P25 conventional channels so I have been using that.

A new SDS100 will run around $650, a used one can be found for as low as $500. So it's about half of that.

You're better off getting SDR and DSDPlus, ~$50 for an entire RTL SDR kit.

Without knowing the plan for the new system, I would not go and buy a new scanner right away. If you are wanting to monitor HFD and they keep the conventional channels the same, a basic P25 capable scanner will be able to monitor them.

All communications will migrate to the City P25 trunking system. Fire Dispatch is Phase 2, Incident 1 thru 5 is Phase 2 during normal operations and Phase 1 when the in-vehicle repeater is in use. The system automatically switches between Phase 2 and Phase 1.

Currently, the plan is to patch the necessary talkgroups to the conventional repeaters only when necessary.

Would have saved taxpayers a lot of money by going on CLMRN. But why should Hartford care. They get bailed out by the state from being nearly bankrupt in 2017 so they can continue to make poor financial decisions.
