Hatzalah Feed Poll

Hatzalah Feed Listeners,

About 2 weeks ago the Hatzalah EMS Metro NY/NNJ feed was split into 2 separate feeds.
Hatzalah EMS - New York Metro covering the much busier chapters of Central Hatzalah and its 16 local divisions in NYC, Nassau County,Catskills and Hatzalah of Rockland County, NY. 3 frequencies being monitored.
Hatzalah EMS - North Jersey covering the much quieter chapters of Passaic-Clifton, Union County (Elizabeth) and Union City (Hudson Co.) in North East New Jersey. 3 frequencies being monitored.

When these feeds were combined as Hatzalah EMS Metro NY/NNJ with 6 frequencies being monitored the feed then supported "Alpha Tags". With the correct media player installed on a listeners computer (Real Win), one would actually see what channel was being heard on the feed at the time it was transmitted.
Example: "Hatz EMS Rockland", Hatz Pass-Clif" etc.

With Hatzalah EMS Metro NY/NNJ now split into 2 feeds, I removed the "Alpha Tag" support on both feeds.

Also with the new smart phone applications that can play feeds. None that I have tried supported "Alpha Tags".

Therefore, I am asking Hatzalah listeners via poll to add (Yes) Alpha Tags to both feeds or (NO) To leave feeds as is. Audio Only

Scanner911 does support Alpha tags, but it does not use the live database at this time.. So basically its database is current as of the last update, which was in May.. I emailed the developer a few days ago looking for a db update (it has the older streams I listen to, but I cant use it for my own because it went live after the last update), or at the very least a way to manually add streams but have yet to get a response.. It is a very nicely done app, its only flaw is the stale db.

On a side note, yours is one I listen to because I grew up around Clifton/Passaic.. I worked in my dad's store on and off for a while - not too far from you.. Main Ave between Van Houten and Carlton. It used to be called B&J Auto, next to Archies Liquor. He sold the building a few years ago, don't know what it is now..

I got Scanner911 for the tags but the app doesn't work most of the time. I use Scanner Radio Pro for my android but it doesn't do tags.

ScannerLive is a good computer app for alpha tags and listening to multiple feeds.

Thanks for the input. We have another week and a half till this poll ends. So I wait until it's conclusion. Also I going to wait a bit until the switch over to Broadcastify is done and things settle down.
