Good Morning,
The National Wx Service office here in Shreveport, LA. has indicated we are entering into our bi-annual Severe Wx season. It's not unusual for us to have 80º temps (at night) in December and a slow-moving "cold front" move through the area. Heck, we've even had tornado's during this time of the year. :-(
Now, I'm no "Chicken Little", running around hollering, "The Sky is falling, the Sky is falling!" However, I would submit to you, this is the time for those of us in OK, TX, AR, LA, & MS to be "vigilant" as of what to appear to be, "minor" storm fronts pass through, could, in an instant, become a major force of destruction.
As a precaution, if you are a NOAA trained Storm Spotter, and have the capability to either contact your local NOAA Wx Service office OR have a ham radio license to "pass =forward", bad weather reports to other ham repeaters, please do so at the most expedient time. Here, the local tv and radio stations 'monitor' the 146.67, K5SHV -Skywarn repeater, to get the latest "news" which is put out by the local NOAA Wx Service.
The object here is to save people's lives. Property can be replaced. And while "memoirs", like pictures, inherited stuff cannot, hopefully the "memory" of them will bring peace-of-mind. ;-)
At present, it's just slowly raining (and we NEED IT, LOL!) It's so "dry", the trees are chasing my dogs, LOL! But, today and tomorrow aren't over yet..... At 62 years old, my favorite TV channel is becoming THE WEATHER CHANNEL, LOL!
