Just an FYI.

Saturday I was on the road and caught Darke County sheriff contacting Preble Co sheriff in reference to a car they were on the lookout for.

So, I wanted to make sure everyone knows that this (and LEERN) is still in use in certain parts of ohio.

I caught LEERN being used the beginning of this month in the south canton area. It was in reference to a BOLO for a car where the owner was said to have fired some shots into the air outside an apt. complex before leaving.

155.3700 has always been heavily used all along the Indiana/Ohio border. Indiana still makes heavy use of it as well.

I can recall the OLD days when VHF was the thing, LOL, everybody used Intercity and LEERN has become something of a relic. Does anyone know if LEERN is used much on MARCS what with all communities on different systems, one wonders how LEERN is being utilized?? Comments!!

From a NE Ohio persepective, LEERN (154.935) is very often used by the Highway Patrol during traffic enforcement via aircraftt. Once in a while an agency will brodacast a "be on the lookout" type alert as well.

I've heard LEERN used in Hamilton County. Dispatches I have heard on it are to alert law enforcement in specific areas to be on the lookout for a vehicle or if there is a holdup alarm at a financial institution. Those broadcasts are prefaced by the dispatcher saying it is being heard on "Signo Select and Ohio LEERN".

Cincinnati and Hamilton County All County Broadcasts (ACB) go out over LEERN 154.9350 and Intercity 155.3700.

When All-County Broadcasts in Cincinnati & Hamilton County are heard on LEERN (154.935) are they also heard over Intercity (155.370) at the same time? I've monitored the Intercity frequency for a time today and have not heard anything.

Depends on the nature of the broadcast and the dispatcher.
If it is something that could involve a neighboring county/agency
then it also goes out over 155.3700.
