I am new to the site. I am a Captain with the Jackson Twp. F.D. in Stark County. I just bought a Radio Shack Pro-97 Scanner. I wondered if someone could give me some help on programming talk groups. I would like to be able to listen to Akron Fire and the other Summit County Depts on 800 as well as Canton Fire.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the pro-97 wont be able to track the summit 800 system nor akron because it is all digital and sometimes analog. and the same for stark county so and canton pd and fd. you would have to buy a pro-96 or a bc-396t to be able to hear them or anyother digital scanner.

Canton is digital as well, Sir. Have you checked out the RRDatabase? Email or pm me if you get a chance.
