hello. I have this model. I have 130 frequencies to enter. Is it necessary to have the USB cable? buy the scanner. Is there an inexpensive cable, a universal cable that could work? Thank you
I'll have to leave it to someone else to find an inexpensive cable known to work with your scanner. You will need to install the driver for whichever cable you use.
Actually, no, you could get an adapter for the SD card and use that in place of the cable and send the programming directly to the SD card, by passing a programming cable, which is faster and more reliable than using a cable.
It does look just like a 4 wire (Data/DC) without an encoder/decoder, so maybe a mini USB to USB with all 4 wires connected (not a USB charging cable) will work? If you have one around, try it, save some $? Just a guess here so nothing lost if it doesn't work right?
Do not try to update the firmware. The servers for doing that no longer exist. If you lose the CPU firmware, you are the proud owner of a brick. I don't believe there are any standalone firmware updaters for the PRO-107.
