hello. I have this model. I have 130 frequencies to enter. Is it necessary to have the USB cable? buy the scanner. Is there an inexpensive cable, a universal cable that could work? Thank you

I'll have to leave it to someone else to find an inexpensive cable known to work with your scanner. You will need to install the driver for whichever cable you use.

:) It does look just like a 4 wire (Data/DC) without an encoder/decoder, so maybe a mini USB to USB with all 4 wires connected (not a USB charging cable) will work? If you have one around, try it, save some $? Just a guess here so nothing lost if it doesn't work right? :)

Yes, it is pro 107 and I do have the programming software CD.
Do not try to update the firmware. The servers for doing that no longer exist. If you lose the CPU firmware, you are the proud owner of a brick. I don't believe there are any standalone firmware updaters for the PRO-107.
