Hello. I got a new scanner for xmas. Last night I set it up and it worked fine until, I pressed a button (cant remember which one). Now the scanner won't scan automatically like it did when i set it up. There is is L/O symbol on the screen. I tried factory reset 3x and when I turn machine back on...it still will not

There is a good explanation of the L/O functions on page 23 of your owner's manual...

If you've reset the scanner a few times, then its memories are all cleared, and you have no channels programmed for it to scan! Try entering a few frequencies into the first three or four channels and then press Scan. Also, of course, make sure your squelch is turned up high enough to silence the noise level... or else the scanner thinks it's a signal and will stay tuned to that channel. I just got mine and I understand how confusing this can be, especially given the rather minimal instructions that come with it.
