Question.. I have a uniden BCD996P2 set up on the Mpscs system.. I have 2 counties program from BearcT warehouse where I bought it.
I have counties Alpena and Presque Isle
With multi of tower sites. On my Scanner it showing 2 frequencies a cross all tower sites. But I'm not hear the other sites. I'm only picking up on these 4 frequencies 853.9875 and 853.3975 853.9750. 853.9500.. my question is how do I correct the problem. To hear the rest?
Check 853.3975. That's not licensed in Michigan. Could that be a typo for 853.3875? That shows up on site 4 (4)-011 (B), labeled as Alpena 2.
Looking at
MPSCS in the database, I see three sites listed as being in Alpena County, and four in Presque Isle, So, you are hearing a control channel on four of the seven total sites in your two counties, Are the other three programmed, but perhaps out of range?
You've noted that you paid Bearcat Warehouse for programming. Do you have software for your scanner? If not, you may want to download & install FreeSCAN. FreeSCAN is free to use. There is a user guide in the Wiki for the software.
FreeScan User Guide - The RadioReference Wiki
The link to download & install the software is at the top of the Guide's page. If you install the software, then you could save a copy of whatever your dealer programmed. You could also post the file so that someone on your area can take a look and perhaps offer suggestions. Note that if you install it, & read the programming from the scanner, the file type is not one that can be attached as is. However, once you save the file to your PC, then find the file via Windows Explorer. That will give you the ability to save a zipped copy of the file, which can also be posted.
