I think I may be getting ahead of myself here but I'd figure I'd ask.

This is the system ULS License - Public Safety Pool, Trunked License - WRUA827 - STATE OF IDAHO

I was able to find the color codes in the "Analyze" function. The LCNs not so much. I don't know if I am missing something or if the system is not online yet. Any insight would be appreciated. I have input the FB8 frequencies but not the MO8. I am getting a signal from both sites at the BSU campus and Schafer Butte.

I am using a Uniden BCD436HP.

It does not look like it's listed in the database yet and seeing signal on the freqs does not always mean its operational per se.

The site at the campus is only 1 freq and the other site is 3 freqs. If the listed emissions are correct on the license, it should be Motorola MOTOTRBO. I would program the one freq from the university in as DMR One Frequency.

It is probably a networked Motorola Capacity Plus system, given how few freqs there are.

In order to have the scanner discover LCNs, there must be voice traffic occurring on the system. Until voice traffic is heard on each freq, it will not determine an LCN.

If system is confirmed CAP+ there need not be any voice to determine LSNs & LCN(s). These can be determined by parking an SDR with DSDPlus on the active rest channel. With CAP+ the LCN will always be the even number of the LSN (Ch ID) pair divided by 2. For Example LSNs 1 & 2 = LCN: 1. LSNs 3 & 4 (as depicted in screenshot) = LCN 2 and so on...

The license was approved in August of 2022. It is probably for use by BSU campus security and is likely a Motorola Cap+ System as mentioned previously. No info has ever been submitted to RR previously on this system, thus it is not currently listed in the database. Any additional information on the system would be appreciated so it can be added to the database.

Unlike NXDN you don't need the actual LCNs. You just need an order. They're like 1, 2, 3 from lowest to highest frequency.

If you're making a statement that CAP+ always follows an order from lowest to highest frequency, that is not correct. The LCNs can be assigned on the system in any frequency order.

Ex:
1 451.275
2 452.075
3 451.200

From my experience, the frequency planners almost always go from lowest to highest in terms of frequency. And no, I wasn't implying that they HAD to be in order -- it's just the easiest starting point.

A few notable systems in my area where this isn't the case:
American Eagle (PHL)
Comcast
University of Pennsylvania (site 2)
Foulkeways at Gywnedd
Main Line Health (5 sites)

There are others I've mapped which I don't feel like posting. Don't just assume LCNs coincide numerically by frequency. Run LCN finder or DSDPlus to be absolutely sure
