Hello all. Need some help please.

I’d like to go ahead and program in NJSP. I know how to program it, CC, and TGID wise.

The troop I want to cover is Troop B, and specifically 4-Comm(North). That’s my main area.

? Now. I also want to hear the GSP, and Turnpike patrols. Say I just program Troop B, and it’s CC channels, can I hear GSP and turnpike patrols?

Do I have to program in the the other Troops to hear the GSP and TP troops? Or can I hear them off of only B if I want?

And IIRC since this is OmniLink the system the TG’s will follow me? I can leave only Troop B and it’s tgid and say travel all the way down the shore(in the coverage area) and I’ll hear them?

Basically I’m saying, I can leave B programmed and hear them as far down the state I want?

Primary one I use is a 396xt. And I live in Ringwood, Passaic County.

you have a tower local..when downloading from the rrdb just program that site listed in town of ringwood...then check all the boxes of what you want to monitor. https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?action=siteFCCMap&siteId=15967 not all towers transmit all of the system so you have to kinda use trial and error..im in troop c country and monitor red lion 3 comm...but have to use a tower in troop a because im right on the border ..your best bet is to use RR to research the towers and who they cover

I have a 396xt programmed with NJSP for Troop B and GSP and NJTPK. Send me a PM and I'll make arrangements to send you a copy of the file if you want it.

Awesome! Thank you, appreciate it.
