Help please

I just bought #20-289 where do I plug it in at ?? I have usb ports all over the place but no 9 pin. Computer is a hp a820n local store has 9 pin to usb but another $33 I don't know? thanks

That's the only way!
You'll have to use a RS-232 to USB adapter.
Shop around for a better price.

This has come up a number of times recently.... so I am wondering, you computer experts out there, is there a way to construct a proper cable with a USB connection? I honestly don't have the knowledge to figure ot out.....but would probably buy one as soon as they become available for the PRO series scanners....

You could always add a serial port to the computer. It would be very cheap and very easy to do.
