Queston, I live here in Colorado Spings. I just bought the pro-96... I have a headache! Anyways...do I need to program ALL of the El Paso County Public saftey frequncies, or just the sites located in Colorado Springs. Because, I programed all of the freqs, and they go into a second bank, will the ID codes that I programmed in the "0" bank carry over into bank "1"? One more thing.. while scanning in OPEN mode, I am getting traffic on certain channels, but no ID's are showing? I'm probally doing something wrong...Thank you in advance!

First off are you using Win96, if not I would highly recommend that.

For DTRS you would only need to program in the control channels that are local to El Paso County.

For the El Paso County 3600 baud trunked system you will need to program in all the sites and that programming becomes a bit different.,

Hi there, tco if your scanning in open mode all you'll get is tag numbers, if you go into close mode, by hitting function button, and 5, you'll just be receiving only your tag IDs you programmed.

My best advice is to use the V-Scanner until you get the cable to download from WIN96. When you program WIN96, put all the control channels in a single bank. Program the talkgroups that you want to listen to. Then activate the closed mode. This will tell the scanner to only monitor those talk groups. You will notice 0-4 next to the talkgroups, these are sub banks that will work as long as you check the "on" box next to the number. If you like listening to Springd Fire, Try programing in the dispatch channel "154.13" into the priority channel.
I also recomend using a second bank for search purposes. Put in all control channels and all known talkgroups. then leave the bank in open mode.

Not quite true. I just programmed the CC's for the El Paso County system and it works fine anywhere I go in the area. I'll post my .P96 when i get home later.
