Next to a scanner...
I'd be happy to help you set it up. We can try here on the board before giving a call - there may be others out there trying to program something similar, and maybe this will help...

Turn the scanner on...
Disable all the stuff you have scanning (hit the Quick Keys to turn them off).
Hit the Menu button (bottom of the two buttons on the side)
Select program system (hit down on the top knob)
Select "New System" (we'll just start from scratch)
Select "MOT"
Select "800MHZ Standard"
Hit "E" to confirm.
If you want to edit the system name, do so at "Edit Name"
The default is "Control Channel only", so that's how we'll program the system.
To set up the Lawton site, Goto "Set Frequencies"
Select "New Frequency"
Input "859.7125" and hit "E" (if you mess up, hit the "." key twice to clear).
The next screen should have 859.7125 at the top - if not, "Edit Frequency" to get it to say that.
Hit "Scan".
The scanner should come up and display "System xxx" (or whatever you named it).
Hopefully, you'll have a reading on the strength meter in the Top of the display. When there is an active Talkgroup that starts talking, you should see the display indicate the Talkgroup ID number. You can hit "E" to quick save that talkgroup (and name it too).

Let me know if that works out for you....we might have to program in a few more frequencies if the data channel isn't on that one as the database lists it is...

Check the database (click "Database" and navigate to your area) to see what talkgroups have been identified for your area. If you find any new ones, be sure to submit them!

Happy listening!
