I on working on a router for a friend, his only internet source is his phone, but he would like internet in two places at once. He brought me a MBR1200b and I was wondering if I can put it in repeater mode (repeating his phone's hotspot), I have looked and looked for the option but maybe I am missing something, he reset it when he gave it to me to work on, it is currently running firmware 2.1.0, I have also purchased a linksys router at a thrift store to see if it would work (WRT54G) and have found manuals for it of how to put it in repeater mode, but I can't connect wirelessly to it unless it is connected to the MBR1200, so I can't connect it to my computer and configure like it says in one step. Is there any way someone can help walk me through this? On either router? I also picked up a netgear WGR615 v7 that doesn't seem to be sending out a signal, any help please!
