Some newbie questions:

Trying to program a Uniden BCT8 with ARC software.

I've entered in the frequencies from this site:

107 North Mountain (Berkeley) 452.87500 453.75000 460.16250* 460.23750* 460.36250 460.63750

Added in the talk groups: (Couldn't find a place to enter Hex)

Berkeley County (02) Talkgroups []

DEC HEX Mode Description
1103 44f D Martinsburg Fire - Primary
1107 453 D Sheriff's Office - Primary
1109 455 D Martinsburg Police - Primary
1175 497 D Animal Control
8021 1f55 E Detectives
9983 26ff D Med Channel or EMS to Hospital

Berkeley County Fire (02) Talkgroups []

DEC HEX Mode Display Description
1101 44d D 02FIRE County Fire - Dispatch
1133 46d D 02FTAC1 County Fire - Tac 1
1183 49f D Fire
1187 4a3 D Fire

And filled in the custom uniden Freq tables:

Custom Uniden Frequency Tables

Table 1:

Base: 452.0000
Space: 12.5
Offset: 380

Table 2:

Base: 460.0000
Space: 12.5
Offset: 570

(which I assume makes this WV system a Motorola Type 2 UHF, Am I right?)

Am I missing anything? What else should I be doing? So far no luck. Thanks

As stated in other replies to your previous questions, the system you are trying to monitor is a digital system, you will need a digital Uniden or Radio shack scanner to monitor.

Keep us posted to your progress.

So what have i done wrong with my bc 296? i have put the N Mtn frequencies in as per the instructions and I hear nothing- it looks as though it is functioning properley (full signal strength) but no id's come across ever? Do I need to put all frequencies in for the WV system to hear anything?

not sure about that model, but on the 396 there is an option to search or scan for TGs. see if you can set it to search only.

Another Berkeley County listener...

I recently purchsed the RS Pro 97 and I am not hearing anything either. Am I having the same issue since the Pro 97 isn't the digital scanner?

yes, you will need a digital scanner to receive county traffic. you will still be able to hear state police though.
