For NOTRE DAME - SOUTH BEND how do I know what specifically to program from the Database to get Notre Dame FD/PD and South Bend FD/PD?
What systems are currently in use? the VHF/UHF or the TDMA Simulcast Trunked?

I'm seeing a combination of conventional VHF and a SAFE-T Trunked System.

All St. Joe county public safety including UND is on SAFE-T. SAFE-T is also only Phase I so not sure where you got TDMA from.

I think county fire paging may be analog on VHF still but everything else is full time SAFE-T. Been a while since I've monitored up there.

Everything for NDPD/FD is through SAFE-T on their own TGs so just stick with those. Analog VHF/UHF is just for backup.

Is the Analog VHF/UHF stuff listed in my first post working as a backup dispatch all the time, in other words are Notre Dame and South Bend dispatches on both analog and digital systems, or NOT working on Analog and only used as a backup. Do I only need to program SAFE-T Groups or should I program the VHF/UHF stuff as well?
Thanks
Jim

Anything Analog in St. Joseph Co. Including Notre Dame is backup only. Everything is now through Digital/SAFE-T. You can program VHF/UHF if you want but you won't hear anything unless for some chance the Digital system goes down. I've solely listened to Digital for years now and have not bothered with the analog frequencies.

Now, a good hobbyist would program both, in two different groups so, maybe late at night, you could turn on the VHF and listen to just confirm that nothing is being used and then if you hear something you'll know maybe a car to car is using that freq now! Just a thought

Thanks. Not a hobbyist professional user that does not want to get inundated with deprecated systems.

Just FYI, the 461.275 MHz, 107.2pl repeater is still in use. While working this week at the football stadium, the repeater is used by the guards directing traffic in and out of the loading dock area under the stadium. On game day, it is being used buy the security guards at the mag and bag checkpoints.
