Are you using a ProScan database? Are the frequencies part of an existing system, if so then add the trunking frequencies to a site node and add conventional frequencies to a group node.
If the frequencies are not part of an existing system, then start with adding a system and choose the system type, then a group to the new system and so on.

I have the same setup, and once connected to the scanner with ProScan, I could simply pull the APCO25 frequencies and system data for my area (Tucson, AZ) which is all APCO P25 phase 2 now for Fire/Police/EMS. from the radiorefrence database after logging in from ProScan with my radioreference credentials.

Then I could just select the APCO P25 system in my city/county I wanted which was easily found, and selected the talk groups I wanted. Uploaded the selected data to my scanner and it was programmed and good to go. But now I leave it in search mode so any talk group on the system is picked up instead of scan mode to only scan the "known" groups. Manually programming would be a nightmare.

A plain older Motorola trunked system is easier to do manually. But can be imported from the radioreference database by logging in as well. Find the frequencies for the group that's closest to you in the system and has the strongest control channel reception. At least one control frequency will be one you imported or entered manually in trunking mode, so when you start trunk scanning, ensure you're in search mode, so any talk group that keys up it will catch. If you import and upload known talk groups and use scan mode, that works too, but not all talk groups are in the database. So as with APCO P25, when I lived where there was a standard older Motorola trunk system I left it on search mode to catch any talk group. No manual programming required at all for me. Has been working great.

Don't really care for APCO P25, the digital reception audio just isn't as good as the analog Motorola trunking system. Analog has more range than digital, but digital systems can handle a lot more users on the system.
