Or don't use phonetics when saying your call sign. Using phonetics makes you sound like a whacker.

I never use phonetics on FM. All we need to do is ID for regulation purposes. If the other station isn't paying attention, that's on them.

Got it. I would usually give my call both ways when making an initial call on a repeater. It was mostly a habit.
