Help with sentinel software

Just got my 536 but I'm having a rough time trying to download and open the sentinel software from the Uniden website. Any help would be great. THANKS

Are you downloading the latest version of Sentinel from this page?

BCD536HP < UnidenMan4 < TWiki

What exactly are you having problems with, and what kind of error messages are you getting - and when do they occur?

Are you able to find the link for the software?
Have you found the link and are not able to download it?
Can you download the software and then not find it on your computer?
Are you unable to un-zip the software once it's on your computer?
Are you unable to install it once you un-zip it?
Did it install and now won't run?

In order to get specific answers to your problem, you need to be very specific with your questions, symptoms, and error messages.

what exactly happens when you try to un-zip the software? At what point are you having trouble?

I'm guessing it was downloaded to your computer's downloads file. When you double click on the BCDx36HP_Sentinel_Version_1_02_01.zip file, did another folder appear? If so, you need to go to that "next folder".

That folder will have will have two folders, a "setup.exe" file and a "setup_BCDx36HP.msi" file. Click on the setup.exe file and it should begin the install process.

I highly recommend you going through the steps shown on the Uniden TWIKI site in a previous post.

There are a couple of Youtube videos that Upman created relating to a new 536. I watched them and they were quite helpful when I received my new scanner.
