I need someone to point me to a video that shows you how to manually enter frequencies in the Sentinel software for Home Patrol 2. Not pulling from the database. Entering new frequencies and saving them via the Sentinel software as a favorites list. I have heard it can be done without the Extreme Upgrade but not sure. Also can anyone show me a legit place to get a Extreme Upgrade key to enter in the Hompatrol 2 to unlock it to enter new frequencies directly into the unit if indeed I need the Extreme Upgrade. The Uniden website gives me a error 404.

You can register your scanner with Uniden and then purchase the Extreme Upgrade at this Uniden website:
That being said, you do not need the Extreme Upgrade to enter frequencies using the free Sentinel software... use the Favorites List Editor for doing that. From the top toolbar in Sentinel, click "Edit", then "Edit Favorites List".
This link should go to the direct timestamp of a video where a channel is added manually. You have to be on the edit favorites list screen already.

Using HomePatrol Sentinel, you can easily create favorites lists, systems, departments, and sites manually. What is your city, county, and state, and which systems and agencies would you like to monitor?
I have created a favorites list and there is no place to enter a frequency. So that is why I am posting here for insight. I have read that with the Extreme Upgrade you don't need your PC you can edit from the unit as well and add new frequencies as my scanner stands now when I enter the new frequency I want to store in the Quick Frequency Feature it does nothing due to not having Extreme Upgrade. I have Sentinel 2.03 installed on my PC. Thanks for the reply!

That software is not the same for my Home Patrol 2 it has a red/orange icon that green icon version does not work for my Home Patrol 2.

Yes there is. As mentioned above, and as shown in the video in post #4, frequencies are added to a favorites list using the favorites list editor.
The quick frequency entry will not store frequencies entered there even with the Extreme Upgrade.
Fredericksburg, Gillespie, Texas I want the Law Dispactch they changed frequencies and they do not show up in the Database they just show the talkgroups IDs no frequencies.
I have seen numerous videos and it seems super easy to do. I can't get a drop down box to with my software. The icon of my software is Red/Orange and all the videos I have seen people are using a Sentinel software that has a green icon. Don't know if this is why. It should be easy but for me it is not.

That green version of Sentinel is for the BCDx36HP and the SDSx00 scanners. You have the correct version for your scanner.

Is it a conventional frequency or frequency in the site of a trunked system. If a conventional frequency, you create a conventional system. You then create a department or departments to add the frequencies to. If a trunked system, you create the appropriate type of trunked system. You then add a site or sites to the system and enter the frequencies into the site or sites.
Are you familiar with how trunked radio systems work? Frequencies are listed in the RRDB on Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) P25. Your site of interest is below:

Yes, your software has the drop down box
Click edit favorites list in the above box and then select your favorites list in the next popup box to edit that list.

Fredericksburg uses the LCRA trunked system. Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) P25 Trunking System, Various, Texas You create a favorites list. Add a P25 Standard trunked system. Add a site and enter the frequencies. Note: Remove the c from the end of the frequencies. That just indicates it is a control channel capable frequency. Sentinel will not accept the c in the frequency list.
Create departments and enter the talkgroups you want in each department.

No a dropdown box to add frequency. When I try to append something in my favorite list.
Ok your saying something I can understand. See Gillespie changed their frequencies all I get is EMS and Fire. Have the new frequencies but can't enter them. When I create a favorites list when I append it or try to add a site I don't have a column in my software to enter frequencies or it doesn't generate one. I have the Sentinel Software with Red/Orange icon for my scanner all videos I have seen people doing this it's with the software with green icon that is not for my Homepatrol. It should be so easy but obviously not for me lol

Are you sure you are in the "Favorites List Editor" page in the Sentinel software? Do you see this at the top of the window?

Click on the site in the left pane. Click on the green + sign to add a frequency.
See this is what I get I try to creat a new favorite and make it P25 standard and I see no where to enter the frequencies. Attached is a screen capture.
