Mark I heard your report on the morning show about 5:15 this AM. Sounds like you had to get a boat out and float down the street there in BA! This event kind of reminds me of the 84 flood, wouldn't you say?

Come on Pete don't you think you are being a little too melodramatic? We haven't had near the amount of rainfall that we had during that event. :)

I couldn't resist throwing that first line back at ya. :)

LOL! Yeah your right Matt. I am being melodramatic! LOL! All I know is that there was a butt load of rain in a few hours and Broken Arrow seemed like it was getting washed away! I have never heard BA that busy during a storm ever. Was it 84 rains, naaaa 84 was like I think 12 inches in a few hours if I remember correctly. Ohh well what fun!

Well, radio related or not, the rains were a good thing. I'd love to see us back on track. I don't want to get out there and mow any more than I have to but I'm glad we are getting the moisture that is needed for so many different things.

actually where i was at from 193rd and 31st to 41st and east to 209th did look like the 84 flood.
i saw water rushing and cars floating etc. then after it all went down and people started throwing wet carpet and debris outside it really reminded me of it.
thank god the precip pattern wasnt like 84 though, 12 inches last night in that area would have destroyed every one of those homes.theres some video ch 8 didnt use, i dont know why but the weather channel took it this evening. there was water rushing down 38th that looked like a river on crack. then on 39th was sections of 8 foot fence that had floated and ended up in yards and against cars etc.
then i went to 73rd and elm and also iola and date in ba, saw water flowing thru and around a house, went back after it ran off and realized a creek had come out of its bank right behind the house, chain link fences ripped away and cars up against the house..
it was crazy!!id you ever get to 31st and 203rd e ave theres an entrance to rennaisance park, imagine both retention ponds and creek overflowing.
4 to 5 feet of water rushing over 31st. that freaked me out when i pulled up on it.
went back tonight to meet the weather channel and looked at the scene there.
awesome force, ripped rawt iron fencing away from the pond area,
several feet of mud in the street and the earth next to the brick wall has collapsed like a sink hole.......

I was monitored BAFD last night for a bit.........sounded like it was REALLY bad when they were having to abandon calls because they couldn't gain access!
