On FT8: 10 Meters was gangbusters to the south; 17 meters to the east. Both during the day yesterday. So interesting how propagation works.

There's still a few low-power SW stations in the Pacific that have intermittent schedules, but that's my first from that region. Should get some better gray line reception as we get closer to Winter.

Decent night for DXing at about 0145 UTC. It didn’t start very promising, but I ended up getting Radio Habana, Radio New Zealand, NHK World Radio Japan from Issoudun, and all the religious stations here in the US were booming.

At 11780 khz there was a signal that as far as I could tell was NOT Radio National Da Amazonia. I didn’t figure out what it was. if anyone wants to hazard a guess, have at it.

CFRX Toronto, 6070 kHz, was there also tonight. It’s not all that far from here, but it’s not available all that often for me.

So, not bad at all.

Was pretty good last night. Picked up a asian freq in 6 Mhz for 1st time. Usually get them in the 9 Mhz. That one preacher in 9 Mhz has a boat load of power. Wipes out my radio something bad.Must have a gazillion watts of power.

Caught a new one for me last night.

0030z 9750 PBS Nei Menggu 23333 Mongolian language. Usual suspects other than that.

11 meters has been open to the UK/EU the past several mornings. I need to start getting on the air instead of listening to RNZ Pacific.

Nice flamenco guitar, transitioning to national news right now on Rádio Exterior de España, 17715 kHz. 44434.

WMLK on 17525 becoming a regular with a decent signal in local afternoons.

Geomagnetic storm for the past few days have made all but the strongest signals difficult to hear. Some strange occurrences as well.

Saturday night continued a day of near deafness; even the big US broadcasters were just noise. But shortly after local sundown, WRMI 5050 kHz came in with a nice signal, and almost no noise. Everywhere else on the dial was a steady roar covering stations, but near-silence on just 5050. This was extra strange in that I've never been able to get a signal on 5050 that was tolerable for listening, either in Houston or DFW.

So, I just left it there and eventually went to bed listening to it. I woke up about 3 a.m., 5050 was gone, but it was quiet enough to get RNZP on 7425 for the rest of that block.
Had great reception on 7425 last night as well. Hopefully 11725 will improve here soon; it's a good signal normally.

Well, finally moved with the station 95% up and running! More room here, so the LoG wire is about to expand to 400', with another loop elevated in the trees. Upgrade for the vertical antenna also coming soon.

Not much band scanning going on here yet, bit last night, the last 2 hours of RNZP were coming in like a local station. No noise, no fade, just a strong quiet signal. A true 55555 at that time.

Later, RNZP was poor on 11725, but good on 7425. When 11725 shut off, and 7425 switched antennas, some STANAG-type interference was noted for about a half hour.

Was pretty good last night. Allot of fading in and out. Wish that preacher in the 9 Mhz area would turn down the power a bit. Pegs my S bar pretty bad.

0120z 4765 Radio Progreso 44333 on Eton Elite Executive and new LoG.

I got a new LoG laid out. There's a lot more room in this backyard than I thought. Wound up putting out 1000' of wire, with plenty of room for a few hundred more. This thing is amazing at the clarity on weak signals. I'm getting nice, listenable audio for much longer times on frequencies that are normally weak and noisy for me. Right now, at 0130z, RNZP shows no signal strength, but I have usable audio with some fading on the wire; signal on MLA-30+ is too noisy right now to listen.
