I've been playing around with my IC-R8600 and looking for other things to monitor other than VHF/UHF. I stumbled onto this forum called HF Underground. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep last night, it's overwhelming!

It's a good site, dedicated more towards SW pirate station chasers than other sites, but there are a lot of knowledgeable people on there and a lot of activity on their forum.

That’s a great web site. Been on that site many times over the years. Dedicated folks on that web site.

HFU's forums are diverse with about 10 out of 24 signal logging areas oriented towards illegal or clandestine radio transmissions, not just pirate shortwave radio. The site is definitely not geared towards scanning radio intercepts of purely local signals.

Some pirate stations monitor that web site once in a while and you can request songs from there. Pretty cool.

It's one of the best websites for pirates in general. I attempted to redo his wiki so it was more up to date, but the owner decided to slap everything on one page, making reading it a chore.

You will also see pirates reported (tho not in real time, as it is with the forums) on the World of Radio reflector on groups.io from time to time.
