Hickory PD dispatch overmodulation

Have noticed since Hickory PD went from their Harris Open Sky system to the P25 800Mhz system,their dispatch side is much louder than the car/portable traffic,somewhat distorted.I tried adjusting the volume down,but the car/potables become very hard to hear.I use a Unden BC436HP;any settings that can be changed/adjusted to help?

I wish, I have been enjoying the ear-blasting for a couple of years with my SDS100.

The overmodulation may be on their end. You can cerainly try adjusting volume offset but if no improvement is yielded, chances are it's on their end

There are a couple officers in our town that think they need to eat the mic and yell into it. Sends my scanner feed into the red with audio and will cut out sometimes.
