High Speed Pursuit in Laramie

White Cadillace with SD plates headed WB in EB lane of I-80. PD unit in pursuit, requesting HP assist. Vehicle swerving all over the road, nearly head on with a semi.

Vehicle stopped at MM 313. PD and SO both on scene, I-80 EB closed.

Suspect was taken into custody, and taken to PD for interview. He then fled, and after searching all non-secure areas in PD, they're now searching around town for him.

Anyone care to shed light on why the main suspect was taken to PD for an interview and not booked directly into ACDC on the driving offenses?
