Home patrol 2

I have a new home patrol 2 I think I set up right . But obviously not I.m listening to it next to my old
Uniden trunk scanner . My old one is picking up full calls. and all the fire hand held calls. The new HP2 is missing parts of the calls. Any help would be great Thanx

I am about 2 months into HP2 ownership, so don't know that I can be of great help. Some of the basics to check:

Sentinel database updated and written to HP2
Firmware updated and written to HP2
Selected services appropriate for whatever list you are using
Appropriate range and atten settings?
Upgrade antenna?

Note:
I have two other scanners, both analog...at 1st I was only giving the HP2 a B+ in comparison, but over time as I have discovered all the features and nuances of the HP2, it has risen to an A+. Hope some of this helps.

It sounds like it could have some fire tactical service types not selected. The HP2 ships with a bunch of service types turned off.
