I recently purchased a Home Patrol II and am learning how to set it up. It has a lot of channels that I don't necessarily need to monitor so I came across the Home Patrol Sentinel software and downloaded v2.03 in order to easily block out the channels I didn't need and set up some favorites. I have noticed that since I edited my favorites, on random occasions the scanner will restart over and over again Power on> Welcome Screen> Load Favorites List> Listen/scan> Power off then repeat the cycle. Not sure why it is doing that. I've taken out the rechargeable batteries and put them back in. Taken out the SD card and put it back in. Plugged it in to a wall charger to get a full charge. It still randomly does this. Not sure what is triggering it.

Anyone else have this issue and know how to resolve it?

Thanks for the info. I tried to reformat the card by putting it in a SD card adapter and in my computer. I couldn't get my computer to even recognize the card for some reason. I decided to replace the card with a new one. At first, I thought it was going to be fine but then it started doing the reboot again. Decided to try some new rechargeable batteries and that didn't work either. Not sure what to do.

I know you previously mentioned 'randomly' in your first post, is it recieving when this happens or idly scanning?

Not scanning or receiving anything. Now it is also powering off and I can't get it to power back on. I think it is a bad unit and I may look inot exchanging it.

I can't get it to power back on.
.
Remove the SD card and leave it out. Then turn the scanner on and see if it powers up and displays an SD card error message, then shuts down after a moment.
