Today, I was monitoring HOTRRS in Waco. I was listening to MCSO 3G SP OPS 1 when I heard "Go to A TAC 95." I immediately created a new Favorite for HOTRRS ID search. Since solid waste, buses, etc. are part of this system, using the avoid button was a tedious task.

Here is what I found:

TG 95: someone talking about tours;
TG 336, "back to campus"

I would appreciate some help from those passing through or residents in this county. I am also curious about whether or not there are any Phase II talk groups.

8-Tac-95 is a simplex 800 mhz channel, part of the NPSPAC plan. I placed these channels at the end of each zone in the radios.

Phase II will be a long way off still.

yea if you wanna make yourself crazy, try listening to these 156 interop frequencies...of which 8TAC95 is one!!!!

I frequently listen to these frequencies and/or talk groups. In fact, in GATRRS, the Gulf Coast Interop channels are used on an intermittent basis. In Bell County, MA 1 and MA 2 function as multiagency task force activities.

However, I am "stone cold deaf" as Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead used to say.

This is my birthday month, will be age 68. Recently, I discovered why I could not read well and/or manually focus my camera, cataracts. LOL.

Thanks for the help.

Larry, were these channels added as plugs to HOTRRS? I know of only one SWAT frequency listed on the McLennan County page, conventional. I have never heard this. I would imagine this is low power simplex. I might be wrong.

I found the letter that the former Waco PD Public Information gave me specific to the talk groups and fleet map. I was going to resubmit this document. What drives me crazy is "avoiding" the trash truck talk groups, etc.

But, the two talk groups I found are not on the HOTRRS page. I will be adding these to my home Favorite.

I added all the 800 NPSPAC to a seperate zone, and included 8-TAC-93 (Repeater) and 8-TAC-95 (direct) to the end of each zone a looong time ago.

I think TG 336 MIGHT be Woodway City Services. That is at least what I wrote down a couple weeks ago when I last listened to it but have no proof yet.

Good one! I found another TG, which may be one of these. I miss the feature of my 436HP, recording. When I shut the unit off, it quit recording. With the SDS, I frequent forget, particularly when I fall asleep listening at night, that I started the recording process.

However, I have gone through and deleted unwanted recordings. I found a TG on HOTRRS that was unknown. I will post the TG later. I do know I heard them talking as if they were on a campus. Initially, I thought this was Baylor, but this is not their MO. No, Baylor has "all the money" along with military-grade encryption. I heard one person say 10-42, which triggered me to think it was LE. I heard one person questioning something about an alarm. I am 68 and getting more forgetful.

Thanks, I will plug these in today.

Bingo, TG 336 is what I monitored. I found another talk group, which is not listed. The TG I monitored was 95. I sounded like a tour bus or something.

Sure it wasn't (9B). I show nothing for (95) unless someone created a new TG.

Well, for a while, I will be using reading glasses and magnifying lens if needed. Last Monday, they installed lenses in my eyes from cataracts. I was wondering why my photographs were a bit blurry. I am supposed to get tuned up Thursday. Introducing the Light Adjustable Lens | RxSight

I will review my recordings. I never make reference to DEC. It was the HEX number. I am having a Hell of a time reading labels, LOL.

I am currently submitting these TGs. I am assuming TRAN and VANS have Tags of Transportation. Is 14B SHOP public works?

Those transit talkgroups were already listed under Waco Public Works.

Wow. I just heard TG 95 key up. When I looked on the HOTRRS, I did not see this talk group. This sounds like a tour bus. However, I will continue to monitor. I did not see the others, sorry. In order to key in on this TG, I will assign the most annoying of the tones, 7 (SDS 100).
