I was wondering when they were bringing the Zoo on. I'm sure the Zoo will maintain their VHF radios so they can monitor the NOAA channel.

Hmm, I am sitting here in my Lazy Boy listening to the following HOTRRS talk group. I do not see any intermittent "ENC" icons.

9009DE1G WPD SpOp11G Special Ops 1Law Tac

Almost every night, I hear the following talk groups, particularly 1K.

1100bDe1I WPD Admn11I Administration 1Law Tac
1200cDe1J WPD Admn21J Administration 2Law Tac
1300dDE1K WPD Admn31K Administration 3Law Tac
1400eDe1L WPD Admn41L Administration 4Law Tac

Hence, I am going to be making a video of 1G should anyone want to see this. Since they are in an ops mode, I might wait a few days.

Today, I submitted the two Cameron Park Zoo talk groups:

Zoo Ops Ch 1: TGID = 95;
Zoo Ops Ch 2: TGID = 96.

I thought that might have been the zoo but I didn't want to jump the gun without better information. Definitely not finding ENC here on the other channels either and I have for sure heard G and K notably.

Looks like 95 and 96 are in the Public Service Group on the Fleet Map spread sheet. These were Blank when I retired. I'll update my spread sheet showing these are for the Zoo. As far as I know the Garage and Building maintenance quit using radios many years ago.

I don't know why the status of these talk groups keeps changing. I give up! I will continue to monitor these at night & enjoy.

I just reviewed the HOTRRS talk groups. Thanks to the person who corrected the talk groups by using "e." However, there is one more to go. Last night, I was listening to 1K WPD Admin talk group.

Those involved in a monitored activity last night were reminded to keep names off of the radio. I believe I heard the officer mention they might be heard on a scanner.

A while back, I heard several officers talking about the crook listening on his police scanner. To me, they were jacking with the person of interest, possibly to rattle him.

I will say this once again. At present, WPD does not really need fully-encrypted talk groups on all, like Ft. Worthless. I have a very long recording of the Twin Peaks biker target practice. Seven bikers were wasted. Zero officers were killed/hurt from gunfire.

Waco PD and McLennan SO need to be commended for their part in this ridiculous shoot-out. I would imagine some agencies used some encryption, possibly federal. However, most of the radio traffic was in the clear.

I am so thankful that this county allows clear transmissions.

So, let it be known, Channel 1K is not fully encrypted at present. If I need to, I will submit a You Tube video showing the radio in action. If so, I will edit out sensitive information that might compromise their activities.
