I am having difficulty scanning Houston/Peach County P25 system. Macon/Bibb comes in loud and clear. I was able to scan them a few weeks ago (not a regular listener) but complete silence now. I have a Uniden BCD996T and used bcTool to download and program it with the freqs from RR. Did Houston/Peach change something? Thanks for any help!

And I lice near Dunbar/Carl Vinson but I have no problem there or while mobile. I did change to an 800 MHz antenna.

I have used the antenna that came with it and an 800mhz mobile antenna. With both I pick up Macon/Bibb loud and clear. I haven't messed with the radio since it was working last, except to load the new firmware. It is just very strange to me.
I just drove up I-75 to KY and back down to FL in the last two weeks and the Houston/Peach system sounded very good to me on my 396 with a mag-mount older cell phone type antenna. I have old programming that I did over 9 months ago so nothing appears to have changed as far as I can tell.

Interesting. I am a novice radio scanner, but it used to work just fine. I turned it on the other day and heard zip from Houston County. I haven't changed any setting that I know of, but is there anything I should check. I even tried a new site with only the control freq and that didn't work either.

Ok. I figured it out. My old set up had only the control channel entered. I was at my wits end trying to figure out what the deal was so I entered the remaining freqs into the system. Well Houston and Peach are loud and clear again! Thanks for the input!
