Why does sdrtrunk show the red circle with a slash through it when loading from the RRDB? and why does sentinel show two different power companies such as "American Electric Power (AEP) P25" and "American Electric Power (Eastern US)" that the RRDB does not show. also the Eastern one shows as EDACS in sentinel.

SDR-Trunk is indicating that system is not compatible with their software.

The P25 AEP Power system is the current one. The "Eastern US" one is the old EDACS system. Your database is out of date on Sentinel, if you update it, it will disappear. It was evidently active at the time of that data pull.

Sentinel database changes have no effect on your favourite list and any updates to those you must apply yourself.

I confirmed that the AEP Eastern US system was included in the 10/6/2024 sentinel database, but not the current 11/3/2024 database. Apparently, the AEP Eastern US system has been removed from the RRDB.

Since the SDS100 is charged through a USB Mini port (the hat-shaped port), any USB Mini setup (wall wart & cable) that puts out 5V, ~500mA or better, should do.

The keys must be bought separately. They are not interchangeable, nor transferrable. They're tied to the ESN numbers of the units.

What about if my sds100 breaks or messes up and the warranty is out and uniden cannot fix it do i just loose the upgrades regardless or what would happen?

By the way has how long do the sds100 and 200s last does anyone know how durable these scanners are?

Uniden does flat fee repairs, if they have to replace the mother board, they will also add any "keys" the old motherboard had installed as part of the flat fee. If the radio is unrepairable, you are out of luck. They are very durable, but mishandling, accidents and human stupidity can wreck them. If you don't think they are worth it, easy answer... Don't buy it.

If i leave my sds100 on 24/7 and never turn it off do you think it would last say 5 years?

The keys are linked to the radio, if it breaks and can not be fixed, you loose them.
