How does the signal know

I don't think the truth is really out there. How does a Thermos know to keep cold cold or hot hot? Perhaps it is the Greek lineage?

And in what direction/rotation do the radio waves travel? Clockwise or anti-clockwise as in other natural stuff like water down the drain hole? :)

The radio waves don't really move. They stay in same spot and the earth moves beneath the radio waves until the destination is directly underneath the signal.

So 40,008 km in 24 hours = 1667km / h = 463m / s. That explains why my flux capacitor clock runs slow!
