The scroll function doesn't work instantly on Site hold as it does for all other scrolls. It is that Function key that has a 3 sec timeout that destroys it. I would like Uniden to switch places between Site and Department, at least for trunked system as the Site button would have no use in conventional systems.
It would be the best solution if Uniden could make a default setting selectable, as it is for some functions in professional radios, so that you could select in the menu to have a default dept or site button in trunked mode and default scroll or volume for the selector and other things like keypad lock and if it should also lock the rotary selector or not and if unlocked it should be scroll or volume. Uniden can still do a lot of enhancement to their current scanners, if they really have a wish to do so.
