How do I transfer all my settings and recording logs over to a new version of ProScan? I honestly keep forgetting every time a new one times out, and now I'm stuck on v24.1. Please help me.

No need to transfer anything if you're upgrading from a previous version on the same computer. You need to make sure you're installing the upgrade to the same directory as your previous install. If you're losing settings then you probably inadvertently directed the installer to install to a different directory

Whenever I download a new version, it doesn't have any of my previous settings or logs from the last one. I've tried moving the file install location, and it doesn't do anything.

Again, you need to install in the exact same directory. If you move the install to a different directory then your settings will be lost. The default directory should be C:\Proscan so that should be the directory you're installing to

I tried that one, including moving my stuff from the old version onto that file, and it still didn't work

One thing that I have seen, when upgrading the version, is that it goes to the folder of your current installation, but then (if you look closely), it may be installing to a "new" ProScan directory.
So, you'll get a prompt asking you to approve the installation to "C:\Proscan\Proscan, instead of just "C:\Proscan".

I make it a point to watch for, & delete the extended folder, making the installation to the correct, original, folder.

Use Windows Explorer (called File Explorer in some versions of Windows.

See if you see the 'double ProScan" pattern. If so, try doing the upgrade again, and make sure that you do the install to the original, base, folder.
