The "mic" jack is usually amplified. The audio input, or "line-in" is not, and is best for feeding sound from a scanner or similar source, especially if you have a computer-controlled scanner that you may be using to decode trunks or other digital transmissions.

Thanks for that link bear105. By the way, I had no idea until it was mentioned here in the past week that the "Bear's Scanner Page" was yours. Thanks...appreciate it. But I am still trying to get the beat maps and codes that I have collected into the database here. So far everything I've submitted has been posted very quick by the webmaster. So if anybody has that kinda stuff...send it in!!
