Hi Iowa folks,

I have a gentleman who states he is unable to monitor Howard County any longer. I show them as being analog but he has "heard" that they moved to another radio system. I don't see them on ISICS, nor do I see any other radio system that's obvious. Is he, or am I, missing something?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

I'm not anywhere near Iowa but I've skimmed the Iowa forum, not seeing any discussion about a new system in Howard County so we'll start with the basics:
  • What make & model scanner(s) is he using?
  • No avoids set, service types, quick keys, banks, etc disabled?
  • No programming changes made?

Can't ever be sure of anything along those lines but he is adamant that it "just stopped working" a few weeks ago. Scanner is a BCD436HP. He also seems to know enough that the county may have recently spent $180,000 on new radios.

I'm obviously nowhere near the area either. If there is updated info it simply may not have been reported to RR yet. He is an older gentleman and is likely not knowledgeable enough to try search methods. I also skimmed the forum with no results.
