Police dispatch volume is very low, but mobiles are normal. Especially district 1.
Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it a setting on my SDS100?
Thanks

Sounds like a console / audio interface issue, not a problem with your radio. There is no setting in the SDS that can compensate for the issue.

I don't believe volume offset is the solution.
The dispatch is low, but the units are normal.
If all transmissions on that channel were low, that solution would work.
I was thinking maybe it was possible to adjust volume per ID.
As Maus92 pointed out.
This is not possible.

Could also be the dispatcher using a mic and not a headset. They seldom sit close enough for the mics to be as loud as the headsets.

You can assign volume offset per TG ..I experience the same on the local FD dispatch. This might be by design as the Fire team wear head sets thus they can safely copy the dispatch .

Per talk group volume offset wouldn't solve the OP's issue as the mobile unit's volume is OK, but the dispatcher audio is low. Adjusting the offset would only solve 1/2 of the equation.

IF the volume on individual ID's could be adjusted, that would solve the problem.

My 2nd question was if anyone else is hearing the same thing. Low volume from dispatch, district 1 especially.

How would that "solve" the problem? The mobile volume would be blowing your ears off while the dispatch would be more readable. In any case, the volume would never be louder than the max volume for the radio, so something to keep in mind. In Worcester and Ocean City, I have to dial back the volume because they seem to have boosted it to deal with speaker-mics on Harris radios not having enough volume out-of-the-box.

If I could adjust the volume on the ID of the dispatch. The ID's of the patrol units would be left alone.
That's what I meant to say.
As you stated above, this can't be accimplished.

Correct, you cannot boost / offset volume based on SUID / RID.
