I have a HP-1 Recently the Phenix City Alabama PD, and FD moved to Project 23 Phase 2 which the HP-1 is unable to monitor. If I purchase the Uniden Extreme upgrade, will I be able to monitor them? If not will the Home Patrol -2 do the job. Thank you in advance for any insight you are able to provide.

Yes the hp-1 only handles Phase 1 even with the extreme upgrade. The Bcd536hp and the Bcd996p2 also handle Phase 2 as well as the Hp-2.
Sell the HP-1 and buy the HP-2 (or use the HP-1 for other systems if you like).
That way, you can use the same SW and just dump the data into the new model. As you know the HP-1 operation, the HP-2 will be identical. The only real differences are that the HP-2 has a USB port for power and is a different case color. Oh, and it has a charge LED now. (and decodes Phase II of course)
