I apologize if this has been asked before, but a search didn't turn up anything, neither did the manuals but it's been a long day and I'm beat and it's possible I missed it.

Anyway, I'm wondering if the HP-1 can record automatically when it stops on a channel in one of my favorites lists? I like to record some of the local activity, and then review it later to see if it's something I want to archive or delete. However, I really don't want to have to start recording as soon as I turn the radio on and then later wade thru a ton of channels I know I don't want to keep (school buses and taxis come immediately to mind). And I'm not always right in front of the radio to hit the record button in the event I hear something I know I want to keep.

I know with my PSR-800 I can set it to record individual frequencies and or talk groups, but can't seem to find a equivalent capability with the HP-1.

Thanks in advance for any information / comments / suggestions provided.

:)

You can set the HP-1 to record, and it will record all channels currently being scanned. But, each recording is in a separate file that you could sort and play back in whatever order you wished (or discard the channels you weren't interested in before playing them). If you really only want to record a couple, the most efficient is to make a Favorites List and scan that list while recording.

Hadn't thought of that. I think I'll give that a try tomorrow.

Thanks UPMan. Once again, you rock!!
