So if you really follow the Uniden repair links it shows you should contact Uniden for the repair price for the HP1 scanner. They list the model as WBHP1 on the repair sheet, but when you search make sure you enter the model as HP1 not HP-1, HomePatrol 1 or Home Patrol 1.
$79.95 has recently been the repair price for most Uniden models out of Warranty coverage, but $69.95 has been the price for non Uniden model repair. I think this is because Uniden often replaces face places, bezels, keypads and knobs when they have the parts available. For non Uniden products they do not replace case parts because these are not products they every produced, they just repair the device electronically?
Also keep in mind that there is a return shipping charge you much pay, info quoted from the repair service web pages:
"Important!! Shipping and applicable taxes will be added to these charges. Please include $10 for shipping & handling charges if in the US or $15 for shipping & handling charges if in Canada. International charges will vary. The return information section will show you exactly how to send your product in for repair."
So likely the repair will actually cost you $89.95 if you live in the US. Not sure why the HP1 repair info indicates to contact for pricing, maybe Uniden is dropping the HP1 repair cost due to limited case parts or screens on hand??
