Ok, that's what I thought. So either I go full blast on the settings, or get my antenna up higher, and or upgrade it to a Yagi.
The item I linked above, the amplifier, helped me a great deal. Got my discone antenna in the attic and I'm running my gain at 36. I'm getting my local site and 2 neighboring sites which are a distance of 17km/10mi and 22km/13mi.
Transit ops has disappeared from the list
Talkgroups dissapear when they have not been active for X amount of time. I forget how much time that is, 24hrs I think.

I picked up one of these and it helped quite a bit with reception: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07XNLJ9X2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Now I just need a yagi antenna because my discone ain't cutting it for sites further away that I want to monitor. 😃
Seems my discone isn't either. Was thinking a Yagi might help, or move the receivers closer to the antenna. My cable run is overly long and not the most ideal cable for part of it. I saw a nice remote setup on reddit a few days ago that got my wheels turning:

Can you not hit Maritime Centre (46) or Geizer's Hill (45) from your location?

You would have some signal loss on a long run of coax. The shorter, the better.
Yeah I’m not sure either as Daniel said it dissipate when it not active but the last time i heard was yesterday evening so I’m nog sure if that something normal or not as it odd to have them silent for all day then active yesterday evening so I’m like worried now
Talkgroups only show as active if they have been fed into the system in the last 24 hours. If it's not showing up, it either a) has not been active, or b) has not been captured and sent in by a provider. Once both those things become true, it will populate in the list again.

Is the best thing to do is keep a look out on the list ? :)
Yes. When it's active and being captured by @NE1C4NSC4N it will repopulate on the list. If it's showing last activity yesterday, then that's the last time it was captured, not necessarily the last time the talkgroup was active.

Ok so they could be talking but it sometimes doesn’t show up depending on that node
Correct. Each node is assigned to a specific site/tower. So if Transit isn't on the site that someone is providing, in this case the Preston site, you won't hear them or you'll only hear them sometimes.

Ok so all he needs to is add more sites that transit is covering then it could help pick up site nodes. I feel more better now that is something that can be done

It all depends on location and the equipment you have. There are a lot of factors. But for example, if he had the equipment and good enough signal to monitor 3 sites around him, he could provide 3 nodes. 1 for each site. Then all the radio traffic from each of those sites would be available to listen to on the Broadcastify Calls system.

It will be hard to add more sites when they're already having difficulty receiving 1. That should be the prime focus to start - figuring out what's going on with the signal. What little was received today sounds very poor or seems like it picked up the activity but lost lock quickly.

I just thought I would copy the time down so it would be easier to see how active it is so far today
