Hi, I've been trying to get ahold of the operator for the HRM live feed and cant seem to send him/her a private message. I'm hoping to get ahold of them this way.. It seems the OPS channels for HRM fire aren't being picked up . You can hear the rigs responding but when they switch to their respective OPS channel the go off the map. Not sure if you have your scanner set that way for a reason or if its just a problem.. Thanks for the fantastic resource tho for those living outside HRM!

I don't listen to the feed myself, but perhaps you can clarify something: do you never (as in never ever) hear any of the Ops talkgroups on the feed? If not then I agree that's something the feed provider should consider adding.
However if you do hear them sometimes, it's quite possible the ops talkgroup in use just isn't affiliated with the TMR tower sites that the feed provider is within range of. I don't think the provider stated on the page what TMR sites him or her are scanning.

Hey guys, I guess this post was for me, sorry Techie, I havent checked this forum in a while I guess.. You should have been able to PM me though...I'll have to check my message options.
As for the issues with the Talkgroups, I'm thinking hfxchris is right, since I am only scanning the Geizers Hill (GEIZER) site, and the Tantallon site, once they switch to the OPs channel, it will only broadcast off the tower closest to the area they are working in.
At least that is my understanding of the TMR, its a way to localize coms, and keep traffic across the entire network to a minimum. I have tried to monitor other sites, but it seems to cause my crappy radio shack scanner problems, transmissions would be broken or unreadable, so I've kept it to the minimum for the feed.
We need more feed providers locally, someone in Dartmouth/Cole Harbour would be great for coverage, most any scanner will feed Fire and EHS.
