Hello,
My FD has HT1250's. Currently we are not using them in the narrow band configuration, but since we signed a mutual aid agreement with a dept that uses narrowband we now have a need. The department is small and budget conscious. The person who had the radios initially programmed called our Motorola shop, who told him they wouldnt program one radio so we could buy a cloning cable and save a few hundred bucks. The dealer said the radios CPS is locked so that only they can program the radios. Is this possible? Is there any way around it? They also said Motorola would not sell us the programming software, which I also beleive is not true.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
