I have seen the UHF channel listed in the database, but does anyone have accurate inflight dispatch freq? Looking for the Regional Medivac, Gutherie/Stat Flight or whatever they are all called these days.

453.7625 PL 107.2 is actually the repeater at Orange County Airport in Montgomery. Stat-Flight Air 2 is no longer stationed there and doesn't use that frequency to contact 36 Control. Last I checked, it doesn't even work in the console anymore because of programming errors.

Stat-Flight Air 1 and Air 2 is dispatched by Lifecomm on 463.000 PL 179.9. They talk back to Lifecomm on 468.000 PL 179.9. The old 463.075 link that was up on Schunnemunk was taken down awile back.

Air 1 is located at Westchester Medical Center and Air 2 is at Wallkill Airport in Ulster County.

Lifecomm is located in Colorado. It is operated by Rocky Mountain Helicopter. Stat-Flight was previously dispatched by Westcomm, but the company (Lifenet) decided to centralize it's communications.

Lifeguard 18, stationed at Stewart International Airport, is dispatched by Mobile Life Support Services in Newburgh on 155.385 PL 77.0.

The are dispatched on a rotational basis maintained by Regional Medivac.

They will all rountinely come up on each County Fire Control's main frequency. For example, they will contact 36 Control on 46.220/46.160 PL 123.0. In Orange County, they will talk to the landing zone on 46.400. Also, Lifeguard-18, when on a police mission, will utilize the NYSP frequencies and will identify as 1H18.

Thanks, thats what I was looking for. FYI, I heard that one of the helicopters may be moving to the Sullivan County Airport this year. I think it was a tossup between Sullivan and somewhere else. That's what is in the grapevine.

Hello,

I recently caught the tail end of a conversation on 468.0750 PL 179.9. I believe it was STATFlight Air 2. I did not hear the other side of the conversation on either 468.0750 or 463.0750 possibly due to distance.

I know e911god has stated that the 463.0750 link was taken down in Orange County.

Has anyone else heard any activity on these freqs. Maybe when Air 2 relocated to Kobelt they put up a new link?

I've been monitoring but haven't really heard anything else.

Medevac Freq

I have my scanner tuned to 463.0, 463.075, 468.0, and 468.075, all with a 179.9. Only the .075 freqs have any traffic on them. Well, at least in the Orange county area.

A typial conversation is dispatch ( I will have to find out if they ever give this name) telling the helicopter to go on standby, then to launch or stand down. If a launch, then the nature of the incident, heading and distance, the gps coords, and nearest appropriate medical center. This may be a scene request, an autolaunch, or an interfacility request.

There is also a morning and evening radio test. Todays was dispatch calling to statflight air one, and statflight air two. air two was later refered to as rocky 7.

I don't have a lot of recordings, I usually delete them daily after listening. there was a call for stat air two to warren county that was stood down.

I will try to listen more carefully to get a better transcript.

Fire,

Okay, so it appears that all of the transmissions you are copying are from LifeCom and none from the helicopters themselves. You'll need to monitor 468.000, 179.9 to hear the helicopters (if they are nearby) answering LifeCom. 468.075 never was a valid STaTFlight frequency.

I have monitored them using two frequency simplex. Thus the reason I have both the 463 and 468 sets in play. I've heard them on both .000 and .075 as to who or what being legit I'm not sure. I really don't keep them up most of the time. Thanks for the explanation SCAN.
