I tried to use the Channel ID's as the LCN's, but when I did, I received nothing. By leaving the LCN's as 0 (zero), reception returned. I tried to use the analyze/LCN finder function on my SDS200, but it would stop after receiving the LCN for the control channel (463.5125). According to the LCN finder, that control channel has a LCN of zero. Weird.

Can I program this in a radio shack?
you can try it. I programmed up my SDS200 with those 4 frequencies starting with frequencies lowest to highest with the Color Code 3 for all frequencies. I did set the LCN's at 0 (zero) for all 4. Give it a shot.

If I program them in order, I get traffic, however all I get is what is on the first frequency programmed in. Since I usually program with CC first, that might help explain why I got nothing previously. When I watch on DSDPlus and ProScan at the same time, I can verify it is only picking up on the lowest frequency in the lineup.
When I put the control channel first in line, I would see the DMRT3, full strength signal, and the SLOT would change to match traffic on the system. The frequency does not change to follow the system but I believe the radio is tracking.
When I have the 451.375 voice channel first, there is nothing showing for mode or slot until there is activity on either of that frequency's slots. Once that happens, the strength is full, DMRT3 shows as mode, TGID info is shown, and voice is heard.

I am seeing the same thing, confirmed in my ProScan logs. I am wondering if there is something missing. I experienced the same issues with the control channel listed first. Every five seconds or so, I do see the frequency on the display briefly move to the control channel frequency, then shift back quickly to the first listed frequency (451.375). My question lies with the LCN's. Are they necessary to properly track this system?

I've never had the LCNs in my sds100. I have them as all 0s so it's in a "search" mode. I'm running the analyzer for avon for LCNs for ya. Taking a little while, but I'll have it for ya - just not sure when haha.

I ran LCN Finder for a week each on the very busy Bolton & Avon sites, no luck.

From DSDPlus, here are the details of the Marcus TIII Durham site (L13-1.4). The LSN of the control channel and all the LCNs were determined using the DMR TIII LCN Frequency Calculator.
Code:
Frequency LSN LCN
451.0875 177/178 88 CC
461.4125 1829/1830 914
461.4875 1841/1842 920
463.3375 2137/2138 1068

It is a DMR tier III system, so yes they could come up on any of the sites on the system. Look at the DMR section of the link I put up. It has all of the sites.
Yes you heard a Trumbull freq. in Middletown. Same Color Code 6. Part of Site 1.7 of the system. I hear every site in the system from my location. Marcus doesn't mess around :)

Bruce does a good job with all the systems he builds

Are you hearing any analog Hunters traffic on that? are you hearing any other Marcus TierIII users? (there are some very busy bus & chair car users as well as wreckers)
If you are seeing a TGID of 231, that is not the Marcus TIII system. DCC6 matches though.

461.7875 in Middletown appears to be a low power, conventional DMR (w/ DCC6) patch or rebroadcast of the Hunter's talkgroup (6689676) from the TIII system. I'm only hearing Hunter's traffic with a single radio id (12) and talkgroup (231). Edit - I'm receiving no signal at all from the Trumbull TIII site CC (464.4125) at my location.
