Sorry for the delay.

The 141.795 and 163.2875(290) traffic was not an image; but two separate conversations. At one point, I had a Wouxoun, a 436 and a 396 all going. They were two separate conversations at different times.

The backstory here was I heard rumors that H-Q was on the way south. Shortly after, a convoy of about 10-15 H-Q trucks came by my dispatch center in Concord, NH. I grabbed my 436 and fired up Close Call. Immediately, 163.2875 (as my radio is set up for steps) came up w/107.2. They were speaking in French (and mixed) reading the road signs initially in front of dispatch and along a few major roads as they read the signs. Eventually, their signal faded out. I later found they were staying at our state Fire Academy which followed the routes I heard.

I later found 141.795 after reading this thread when someone said most everything was between 141-143 for them. They were doing work in my area on both frequencies.

Ahhh, explains it well then.

The 163 is a Rental, where-as the 141 (CSQ) was likely an actual H-Q

Did he mention the Shop ? to match with TAFL ?

The area I'm in that received H-Q help (Concord, NH USA) has Unitil for their power company. They had licensed several new VHF frequencies for digital use (none of the above); but hadn't started using them yet. They currently run on 37.58 with a few High-Band mobile repeaters.
.

I've found H-Q licensed to 37.52 and 37.72 (both mobile); don't know the actual usage but it's
right around 37.58 so might well be used for interop. There is no callsign in TAFL but
record can be found under Company Code 100000140 , visible in list from Licensee name
search.

163.2900 107.2 - French and English used by Crews

No accents heard as yet. Unlike NH back in December with
both 141.7950 S - No PL and 163.2900 S 107.2
